Very nice location, about 10-15 min walk through the park to the city center. Also there is electric little car going to/from city every 1 hour, so you can take a ride. Breakfast is sufficient. There are pool and saunas and lots of spa procedures to choose from. Equipment rather older, but room was huge.

I had a spacious room with balcony on first floor West Wing, but too hot and no air conditioning, no lift available also. Floor carpets could do with a dry clean.||The Pyramid Glass Cafe was closed and would have been too hot to sit inside anyhow with high Sun / UV rating outside and around 30 degrees C, no air conditioning throughout the entire Hotel. The Restaurant on Ground level gets too hot as well.||The Spa package is questionable as staff is firstly not apt to communicate sufficiently with Hotel customers in general and struggle with the German language, in some cases do not speak German at all. A great number of them are just simply rude and talked to me in a tone I would not use on my pet let alone on another person. There is a negative culture with the Spa personnel that is not right. A test to identify the state of one's back muscles is just simply 'humbug' and should not be used at all as it basically not proper and at best will mislead Hotel Spa customers and in fact is quite painful as well. Some restaurant staff are also not Customer friendly as I could not sit alone when I first arrived and was forced to sit with someone else. Only after heavily protesting and threatening to call the Manager, the waitress on duty changed her mind. The Franzensbad/ Frantiskovy town and surrounding park reserves are beautiful and serene with many natural free spring sources. Lake Amerika as it has been called is close by and a picnic and wild live area as well as a playground, great fun for children of all ages. Summary: the four star rating is overrated as staff is insufficiently trained and facilities have seen better days and just not up to modern contemporary customer expectations. One last point, if you are a non smoker like myself, smoking is permitted at the Hotel entrance and one has to walk the smoking gauntlet in or out of the Hotel feeling and smelling like a smoked cod or trout......

No internet on rooms, although clearly advertised. This is a no-go in 2022… At least the friendly lady at the reception promised to help and mentioned to arrange a solution for tomorrow morning 8am. Until then, rating would remain as is - depending on solution, I would adjust it.

Update: after one day, the friendly receptionist changed the room where the internet works now. Thank you very much.

Update: internet works, but at an incredibly low speed (<1MBit/sec, did tests and documented). ALso by calling the reception again, no help was offered (and the other receptionist mentioned that no emails are being read..). We also tried the restaurant meanwhile, which is however very basic style. Pool is very old an outdated as well. Changing rooms at the pool are fully soaked and ratehr disgusting. Prices for the room are too high vs the service you get (e.g. there's even no bottles of water on the room - which is usually a standard for hotels of such price range). So all in all 3 stars (2more vs first day where the internet didn't work at all.., as the staff tried to help and was friendly).

This is a good hotel, not really luxurious so it's best not to have any high expectations. It was worth the money since breakfast was good. Food was good, great variety. Rooms were average, decor was satisfactory. Rooms were very clean. I would rate the rooms 8/10. Staff was friendly and helpful. Quite a good experience for a small price. The surroundings are not very noisy. Overall, a good stay! Worth for money, would definitely come back!

We came here for a relaxing, quiet gateway and that is exactly what we got!! We absolutely loved this place! The rooms were spacious and nice. The breakfast was delicious and on top of that, the restaurant also served lunch and dinner (where we ate many times). The food was amazing every single time and the staff was excellent!! We loved one of the servers in particular, she seemed to take a special liking to our 3 children (12, 5, & 2). She went out of her way to learn english in order to have somewhat of a conversation with us (we used a combination of english and german lol, it worked?‍♀️). The pool in Hotel Pyramid I was a 30 second walk from II. There was a small play area for kids and a petting zoo with a small variety of different birds!! There were many deer, goats, some emu's, really pretty birds, and a small fish pond. There was also a neat little castle on the grounds. You can also take a really nice walk through the trails to Frantiskovy Lazne (hope it's spelled right) which is a beautiful little spa town! We enjoyed our stay here so much, we would definitely come back!!

Big rooms, but could be better maintained. Furniture is old and seems dirty (sofa and armchair in apartment). Servants in restaurant quite impolite. Food average and quite expensive.

Shabby interior - looks like 20 years ago. Room was quite noisy, probably due to building construction.||Bed linen not changed during 4 days stay.||Pool facility bellow par (eg. no soap refilled, half of lights out of order, looks really bad)||Breakfast bar empty at 9 AM, very limited offer, not refilled, probably to save money.||Tablecloth not changed between dinner and next day breakfast.||Overall smell from the kitchen on corridors.||Spa/kitchen staff (some of them) speaks rude thinking there are only german guest not understanding a word in Czech.||Reception staff not very helpful.||||Some positives:||Served food was OK, even the menu looks strange||Some Spa personnel was nice/helpful||Cheap minibar||Good access to city/spa||Room size was OK||||Result||Price/quality ratio does not work; you can survive in the hotel, but will never return.||I would accept it as average 3 stars hotel, but they shall never claim 4 stars
