If you are staying in Jaromerice bad Rokytnou then this place is the biggest in the town, the rooms were a good size for a couple, but our room had ants, in the summer those rooms have to be blistering hot and no air will be provided. But downstairs is where this place shined, they had an entertainment room w/ 2 bowling lanes, a pool table. Full restaurant with tented outside seating. It seems like it would provide the main banquet halls for this town 200 from the main attraction and there was free parking & a coop grocery 50 meters away, it’s ok for a night.

Well, what to say other than RUN. We booked this hotel for 1 night and truly the worst experience we have ever had.

First of all, the reception staff is very rude, which is always so sad when literally you had one job, greet clients with a smile. Some training is much needed here.
Second of all, the room is DIRTY, the walls are ripped and stained, the drapery is stained as well, and the bedding has stains as well. Never ever had I take off the bedding because of the dirtiness.

My advice, just don't. Save your money because this hotel is not worth any of your penny

I am going to rate Hotel Opera high. Because the hotel services were very efficient. The breakfast was good, fulfilling with a variety of food to choose from. The hotel staff were very helpful and kind. The room was neat and comfortable and the keyless door room ensures maximum security. The served food from the restaurant was enjoyable and tasty. The general atmosphere at the hotel was amiable and peaceful. All in all, our stay at the hotel and the town was memorable, educating and fulfilling.

Super nice hotel!! Nice staff, rooms good size, well equipped, clean and neat. Also, the breakfast was generous and delicious. Will definitely recommend it. It's not so central so you will need a car to get to the village, but it;s okay if you are visiting the near most touristic places in the area

This being the only actual hotel in Jaroměřice nad Rokytnou, you are not spoiled for choice. Dispite the lack of competition, the hotel is nice. The hotel restaurant has good food and great staff. The hotel staff are nice. They are willing to try and communicate even if you don't speak their language, which is nice when you are a tourist. The rooms are very clean and well kept up, if old. One warning, the beds are VERY hard when contrasted to American beds, so if you are American, be warned. Totally worth it though.

We stayed for one night and did get dinner and breakfast in this hotel.
I'll start with the positives, because I have to give credit where it's due. Despite the look of the building from the outside, the rooms are actually quite nice looking. They're new and well constructed. The price for the rooms was quite low. And the staff was friendly and nice. The breakfast was tasty and you could choose from a lot of food.

But unfortunately the majority of our experiences are bad. I'll start with the dinner. We had to wait over an hour for our food (which was rather simple really - salads, fried stuff and so on). 35 minutes into our waiting we got the information that the kitchen received our order. 45 minutes after the order, we had to reorder a meal because of technical problems in the kitchen (these things can happen but why did the kitchen know about our orders so late?). The staff seemed distracted and confused. They didn't really know what they were doing. We had to remind them about some parts of the orders or forgotten drinks. The food was okay, but wouldn't go there a second time to eat dinner (cold/small portions/unremarkable). The final receipt also had some incorrect items, but it got sorted.

In the evening no warm water came out of the faucets. Some were completely dry. After asking, we were told that they know about it and are sorting it out. Again, these kind of things are normal to happen but it would be nice to know about such major problems. After 11.00 pm warm water was back on, but that was too late. For anyone over 180cm the beds and douvets may be too short.

All in all I think with better staff know-how a lot of things could be better. I know that these are difficult times but others are managing it somehow too.

Absolutely terrible place. Hotel restaurant closed at 8PM!! Personal is really unfriendly without any chance to be friendly, including absolutely no chance to speak in any common language (only Czech with unfriendly accent).

Go up
