Good things: fried cheese is very good, schnitzel is also good, they have good sauces and Bernard beer. And it's an inexpensive place
Bad things: they say find a table and sit, you wait, finally after finding a table they might say this table belongs to other people you can't sit here. They have no queue or system. If it's crowded you need to fight for a table. I spent like half an hour for sitting. Reservation is only for inside tables

I decided to stop at this intriguing restaurant surrounded by old locomotives, making you feel as if you've stepped back in time. I opted for a light meal and had a Caesar salad. But this was no ordinary salad; it was an exceptionally delicious version that I had never encountered before, yet it met all my expectations. With renewed vigour and good spirits, I continued on my journey. An unforgettable five-star experience.

Atmosphere, atmosphere, atmosphere, design, food, drinks - all af the above absolutely charming, in that very order.
It's a lovely place totally worth even a long trip decorated by the Křivoklát forests. Go there, sit preferably outside along the rails and wait for trains passing by.

Oh the food was delicious, definitely worth it. Just make sure you go there somewhere in the morning like 10 or 11 am and then from 2pm to about 4pm. Between 11am and 2pm it's almost horribly full. Everyday! So that's just my tip. The prices are also good for a famous Czech restaurant. Little bit over 200 czk per food is average.

themed restaurants decorated with the subject of the railway past and cozy atmospheric surroundings with exceptionally friendly staff. a simple but excellent menu and well prepared meals. the beer is of excellent quality and they have their own range of non-alcoholic beer which tastes very good. good parking. in the summer it’s nice to relax on the typical terrace.

Really excellent food in a unique setting of an antique railway car. The ribs I had were fall apart tender and had an amazing bbq sauce. They were maybe the best ribs I've had in my entire time living in the Czech Republic, although I seemed to be about the only person in the restaurant not eating their famous fried cheese. 10/10 on the food and the ambiance of the place.

The only downside was the service. It took about 8-10 minutes for a waitress to come to our table to take our drink order. I only got their attention finally by waving my arm at a waitress from across the room (two times actually) before they came. It was very busy at the time, so I totally understand a bit of a wait, but that's a long time to be seen by a waitress after being seated.

They then brought us someone else's drink order (not a big deal, just a sign of the disorganization), and my meal arrived about five minutes after my friend's meals arrived, so I had to watch them eat until my food came out.

Once we finished eating, it took about five minutes for the plates to be collected.

Finally when paying, the older blonde waitress was a bit aggressive, to the point where our group noticed it and all shared raised eyebrows and little incredulous smiles with each other about the way she was communicating.

As we were leaving I asked one of the young men working at the bar if he could fill up my cannister of water at the sink behind the bar. It's a famous stop for hikers and cyclists, so I don't think it was too strange of a request. His response was dismissive, saying that I should fill it up in the bathroom sink. I told him the cannister was too large so he gave a sigh and told me to fill it up myself at the bar.

It felt a little strange being behind the bar and having to move out of the way of incoming waitresses looking at me funny for being in their space, and again its not really a big deal, but he could've just spent 15 seconds to help me out and avoided the whole situation. This combined with the other service issues just left a not so great impression as we left.

Overall, there seemed to be this attitude of indifference by most of the staff throughout the meal (the young lady bringing our food and drinks was very nice, I'll say), and while I'm not expecting a Michelin-starred quality of service at such a casual restaurant, there needs to be a lot of improvement just to be considered even unnoticeably average.

I write this so that maybe the manager will have a little bit more oversight on the staff so that eating at this cool restaurant can be a 10/10 experience overall, since the food and the setting of the restaurant absolutely are about perfect.
